2 cards with SSS

Monday, December 18, 2017

Hi friends. I have 2 fun cards to share with you today primarily using some SSS stamps and dies.  For my first card, I started by stamping my background with the gorgeous Kaleidoscope background stamp. I used Copic friendly ink for this because after my panel was completely dry, I went in with various Copic markers in rainbow order and just scribbled on some color.

Once my panel was done, I ran it through my Big Shot with a die from MFT.  I then ran the die 3 more times with black card stock. I inlaid the first die and then stacked the others, finishing with my original die cut from the stamped and inked panel.  As a finishing touch, I added some Morning Dew Crystal Drops from Tonic Studios.

For my second card today, I used the same background as above. This time, I just added in some marker to some of the areas. I love that I used the same background but was able to get such different results due to the techniques used.

I then die cut the you die cut 4 times, once out of red card stock and then three times out of white. I stacked them together for added dimension, offsetting the white ones just slightly to add for a shadow effect.  I heat embossed the sentiment and the card is complete.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you are having a wonderful day and week.  Crafty hugs!

Happy Christmas to all for Whimsy Stamps

Wednesday, December 13, 2017

Welcome friends. I'm so glad you joined me today for this CAS Christmas card featuring Whimsy Stamps stamps and dies.  Make sure to read to the end of this post for information about a great sale happening in the store.

I started by die cutting the front of my card panel with the largest die from the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle dies. I used a shimmery card stock to add a bit of extra interest to this otherwise very simple card.  I did want to point out that these dies, regularly priced $29.99 are currently also available in a holiday bundle along with a stamp set and 3 other dies for only $34.99.  Click here to check that out.

Now back to the card. I then stamped the Santa image and the sentiment which are from the Christmas Memories stamp set.  I finished off the card with some of the Christmas Cheer enamel dots from Whimsy Stamps.  I love that these are in a matte finish

I also want to remind you of the awesome sale going on in the store all month long. Click here for all the details.

4 Cards for TupeloDesignsLLC using Concord & 9th Stamps and Dies

Tuesday, December 12, 2017

Welcome friends. I hope you are having a great week so far. I have 4 Christmas cards to share with you today all using the beautiful Ornamental stamp set and coordinating dies from Concord & 9th for TupeloDesignsLLC.

For my first card, I started by stamping the ornament image onto a piece of white card stock. I heat embossed the Merry & Bright portion with some sparkly gold embossing powder.  I colored the leaves and flowers with some simple Copic coloring. I then die cut the ornament topper with some card stock that I had heat embossed with the same gold glitter embossing powder that I used for the sentiment. I added it with a bit of metallic thread to hang it. I finished off the card by die cutting the panel with the largest die from Avery Elle's Wonky Stitches die collection.

For my second card, I stamped the same ornament image to begin with. I then used the smaller images in the set to fill in the empty spaces. This time, I only colored a few of the flowers and left everything else uncolored. I used the same gold glitter embossing powder for the ornament hanger and to some strips on either side of my card panel.

For my last two cards, I die cut the beautiful die that is included in the coordinating die collection with some various papers. I love the detail that this die provides. The sentiment is from the Ornamental stamp set. I again used the Wonky Stitches die on each of the patterned papers for some added detail. These last two cards were very quick and easy to put together and would be great for mass producing if you needed a quick idea.

I'll be linking these up to the current anything goes challenge over at Where Creativity Meets C9.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Crafty hugs!

4 cards - Have a Joyous Christmas with Whimsy Stamps

Saturday, December 9, 2017

Hi friends. Thanks for stopping by today. I hope you are having a great day and weekend. I have 4 cards to share with you today, all using the beautiful Joyous Holiday stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. This set is available as part of a holiday bundle at an incredible price of just $34.99.  See below for the graphic of this bundle - regular price is $70.  And don't forget about the special sale that Whimsy Stamps is having all December long. Click here for the details for your chance to save up to 20% off your order.

For each of my cards, I stamped the large poinsettia image and a sentiment from the Joyous Holiday set. I then broke out my PolyChromos colored pencils for the first time and just started coloring.  I tried to do a bit of shading here and there. You can see that my coloring is simple and that I definitely  need more practice but this was fun and somewhat relaxing.

Thanks so much for visiting today. Crafty hugs!

Here is all that is included in the Holiday Bundle.

4 Christmas cards for TupeloDesignsLLC using Concord & 9th

Friday, December 8, 2017

Hi friends and happy Friday! I have 4 Christmas cards to share with you today for TupeloDesignsLLC, all using fun products from Concord & 9th. I am using the Trim the Tree stamp set and the coordinating dies.  On each of my cards, I started by adding a water colored backdrop using the Gansai Tambi watercolors.

On my first card, I heat embossed one of the sentiments from the Trim the Tree set with some Ranger embossing powder in red.   I then heat embossed the string of lights from the same stamp set with some Ranger gold embossing powder

For my second card, I heat embossed another one of the sentiments using the same gold embossing powder.

My third card also features the same gold embossing with yet another sentiment available from the Trim the Tree stamp set. This time, however, I first die cut my water colored panel with the tree image from the Trim the Tree die collection. I then die cut it two more times and stacked the die cuts. I did the heat embossing on the top layer.  I just love the fun look

For my last card, I die cut the tree again three times for added dimension. On the top layer, I ran the die cut tree through my Big Shot with one of the stitched dies from the Trim the Tree die collection. I love the fun lines and texture it adds to the tree.  Is tamped a few of the ornament images and the tree trunk and the card is complete after adding a heat embossed star.

I hope you've enjoyed all of these cards today. Thanks so much for dropping by today - I truly appreciate it. Crafty hugs!

Some Nuvo drops in Blizzard White finish off the card.
